Private Tours and Private Opens at That Turtle Place!
We are delighted to offer two unique experiences during the summer months, tailored exclusively for your group.
Private Tours
- Timing: Early mornings and late evenings before sunset. (8am-9:30am) (6:30pm-8pm depending on sunset times. Times vary)
- Duration: Approximately 1 hour.
- Description: Enjoy a guided walkthrough of our facility, where you will have the chance to feed and interact with our turtles and tortoises while learning about these wonderful creatures.
- Pricing:
- $125 for up to 6 people.
- $15 for each additional person beyond 6.
- Example Pricing: For a group of 3 - $125 total; for a group of 8 - $155 total.
Private Opens
- Timing: Primarily weekdays during the day when we are closed to the public, or Thursday-Saturday evenings after general open hours.
- Duration: 1.5 hours.
- Description: Experience the sanctuary with exclusive access! You will receive an introduction covering rules and information about our animals before enjoying the freedom to explore and interact at your own pace. This is our most popular choice due to it costing slightly more per person than our Adult General Admission price during our general open to the public days. We will also be on site during these times for any questions you may have! Feeding cups will be provided for aquatic turtles. 🐢
- Pricing:
- $80 for up to 6 people. ($13.33 per person)
- $10 for each additional person beyond 6.
- Example Pricing: For a group of 4 - $80 total; for a group of 10 - $120 total.
Booking Your Visit
To book your visit, please reply with your desired dates and whether you would prefer a private tour or private opening, and we can arrange times that are available. We recommend bringing water and any personal items that will keep you comfortable during your visit. You may also bring personal food and enjoy our wooded pavilion area in the back. (NO FEEDING OUTSIDE FOOD TO THE ANIMALS!)
Additional Information
- Tips are always appreciated but not expected, as all profits go directly back into animal care and facility enhancements.
- We prefer cash payments due to internet connectivity issues; however, card payments are accepted.
